Rog Hildreth
BIOGRAPHY
Originally from North East England, I've been based in Manchester since 2002 and have played both solo and in a number of bands through the years. My cover version of The Lemonheads Bit Part featured on the Evan Dando Tribute album Squealing Fans In My Tune Volume II, available on MalloTwist records. In 2010 I completed a solo record titled The Anxiety Bomb, which was mostly guitar-based. 2011 was my first year at the RPM Challenge and my first go at making electronic music, which I've continued doing into 2012.

Fox Shoots Man(2011)
As a mostly guitar-based writer, this is my first electronic LP. Entirely written and recorded in February 2011, it was played on an Akai midi keyboard, an Alesis drum machine and numerous loops, VSTIs and my own voice. (I did give in and add an acoustic to one track.) It opens with an ambiant instrumental, but don't let that trick you, from then on I sing songs. Good ones, too.
My good lady created the artwork and a fox really did shoot a man earlier this year. Read the news.
Rog Hildreth and The Enemies Of Progress(2012)
My 2nd RPM LP (and my 8th LP overall) was written and recorded during February 2012. Having experimented with electronic music last year, this time I combined it with real instruments, so it's something new for me again. The Enemies Of Progress is a loose concept which appears in most of the songs. All songs/sounds written and performed by me, except 'Stop Digging' which is co-written with Jen Howell, who also played on the track.
